In a more recent venture, they tackled a challenge for a major marine and defense OEM, in designing a toroidal transformer which reduced the volume and weight by 15 percent and 6 percent respectively. They were also able to achieve a 35 percent improvement in thermal management, a 65 percent improvement in voltage accuracy, and a 6 percent improvement in voltage regulation.
