THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

Anastasios Simopoulos, PresidentBeta Dyne’s hallmark products include low noise like 15W series, high voltage like 35W series, and programmable output and planar magnetics to achieve high density and efficiency converters. Recently, the company developed the ACC1200 that is an adjustable output current by a variable control voltage. The converter accepts 0 to 10V at its VC control input and generates an output current from 0 to 2A.
Through its dynamic burn-in process, Beta Dyne eliminates the infant mortality that even the best designs, manufacturing techniques, and process control programs produced units can have in the field. This process ensures that all Beta Dyne’s converters are subjected to 48 total hours of dynamic burn-in. The first 24 hours of dynamic burn-in occurs before the converters are in encapsulation and consists of 50 percent full load or static load and 50 percent dynamic (or switching load). The 50 percent switching load is applied to the output of the units at the rate of 100 times per second (100HZ).
What sets Beta Dyne apart from other electronic power companies is its motto, “Powering your ideas for less.” The company accomplishes this through its research and development, as well as small quantity production, which is conducted in its headquarters in Bridgewater, MA. “We are particular with the production facilities we utilize as well as where we purchase our components from. These are all ISO-9000 certified, and use certified assembly houses,” mentions Mr. Simopoulos. Further, these facilities are selected in the U.S. and abroad under extremely strict audits by Beta Dyne and its customers when requested. More importantly, all the products are designed and prototyped under stringent guidelines for design criteria where meticulous attention is given to margin, long life, and manufacturing ease.
